About Me

Guido Nussbaum Picture I was born on October 6th, 1979 in Cologne, Germany and grew up about 20 miles away from Cologne in a small village with 4000 inhabitants. At the age of 7 I joined the local soccer club and kept playing soccer until I was 14. We’ve been very successful with our small soccer club, even won the Dana Cup once (the Dana Cup is the second biggest youth soccer tournament in the world, located in Denmark). Unfortunately later our team felt apart and I switched sports… I started  mountainbiking which I’m still doing today sometimes.

After 2 years of almost full-time mountainbiking I went to the USA for 1 year as an exchange student and had to leave my bike in Germany.

Living in the USA was fun, I stayed at my cousins house in Rapid City, South Dakota and went to the Stevens High School for the whole year. Since I couldn’t take my mountainbike with me I joined the Stevens High Football team instead. Of course the new german guy was first tested as a kicker and got that position for the rest of the year with a 98% field goal score.

Now, most of you probably think that South Dakota must be a pretty boring place but for me it was one of my best years.

My business career began actually very early. When I was 14 years old I started my very first “business” together with a friend of mine. You’ll laugh when you hear what we did: We cleaned horse boxes. But you won’t laugh anymore when you hear what we made… about 30 bucks an hour each. We only did that one a week for 3 hours and we made more than any other kid in our age (of course most weren’t working at all).

Shortly after coming back from the US I started my second “business”. While still going to school I became self-employed as a financial consultant… that’s one of these jobs where you have to sell insurances and other financial products. It worked well for a short time and then it became harder and harder to make sales until I finally quit that business.

After graduating from school I had to decide what I wanted to do in my life. I already knew that I wanted to be self-employed and never work for somebody else. Here in Germany you usually go to university for 6 or 7 years or you start a 3-years so called Ausbildung as an apprentice in your profession after you’ve finished school. I did neither of these, I tried all kinds of business opportunities, first offline and later on the internet.

Unfortunately I got scammed many times and I mean really scammed… for example, once I worked as a freelancer for some people and before I got paid these people literally disappeared… left the town, even the country… who knows. The first online business opportunity that I joined was about the same… got paid once and then I invested thousands into advertising just to see that the company and their website suddenly disappeared from the internet without paying me a second time.

This first online adventure made me lose my credit card and even my internet connection. Being out of money meant I’d have to work for somebody else to raise money for a new credit card and a new internet connection. That was in 2004 and actually the best that could have happened to me when looking back. That’s because I started an Ausbildung as a programmer and learned alot, not only about computers but also about how to run a business.

I’ve graduated from this programmer Ausbildung in 2007 and instantly started my very own online business. After some tests with niche websites I had my first small success with the PLR Niches membershipsite that I had created because people were always asking me where to get free PLR and Resale Rights products.

My first Big Success was the Halloween Giveaway in 2007. My list jumped from 200 subscribers to over 5000 literally overnight. Since then my online business kept steadily growing… not by itself but because I launched new websites almost every 2 months. After launching the Giveaway Manager 2 software people started to regard me as one of the Top experts in the giveaway event market which opened new opportunities to create Joint Ventures and new Contacts.

In December 2008 I’ve launched my to date most successful website, the Traffic Witch traffic exchange. We grew this traffic exchange to 30,000 members within the first year and it’s constantly ranked under the Top 10 traffic exchanges at Traffic Hoopla and Affiliate Funnel (both are traffic exchange ranking systems).

Now it’s the year 2010 and it’s time to take my business to the next level. What that means will be explained in various posts here on the blog.

I wish you much success with Your online business and I hope you can learn a couple of new things here on my blog.

Sincerely,

Guido Nussbaum
